The latest rendition of Ruinart’s NV Brut Rose is a pretty, vibrant wine that offers up inviting aromas of tangerine, blood orange, plum and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and precise, with tangy acids and a pretty mousse, it’s ca harming, comparatively vinous wine that is already showing well. [19/07/2021]

Dosage 9 g/l. 55% Pinot Noir (of which 19% is red wine), 45% Chardonnay. Three to four years on lees. Simple red fruit nose, chewy texture with a refreshing finish. Less substance and grain than the Veuve Clicquot rosé. (RH) [05/01/2017]

(55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay; 9 g/l dosage; LAH9V): Light orange. Sharply focused red berry and tangerine scents are complicated by suggestions of allspice and cinnamon, with a hint of smokiness in the background. Sappy and minerally on the palate, offering fresh strawberry and blood orange flavors lifted by juicy acidity. Maison Ruinart is the oldest champagne house, established in Reims in 1729. Dom Thierry Ruinart was an intuitive, visionary, hardworking, and modest Benedictine monk who recognised the potential of sparkling wines early, becoming one of the pioneers in champagne production. 
Ruinart’s vineyards are primarily located in the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs regions, renowned for their excellent grape-growing conditions. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier are the primary grape varieties used in Ruinart champagnes. One of Ruinart’s notable cuvées is the Ruinart Blanc de Blanc made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. Ruinart also produces vintage champagnes, rosé champagnes, and a prestige cuvée called “Dom Ruinart”. The fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks.
Over the centuries, Ruinart has established itself as a symbol of elegance, refinement, and excellence in the Champagne world. The price of Ruinart champagnes can vary depending on the cuvée and the vintage. Basic Ruinart champagnes, such as the non-vintage Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, are generally priced between £40 and £60.
