60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir. 100% estate-grown fruit. pH 3.1, 12 g/l dosage, aged a minimum of two years on the lees. Only the cuve´e (first pressing of 120 gallons/ton) is used. There is one base year in the blend and three to seven other vintages for consistency. For this year’s bottling the base is 2017 with 12% reserve wine. Fermented in stainless steel at 65 °F. Minimal MLF. 80,000 cases produced. Meyer lemon, lemon verbena, a touch of tarragon, sharp, mineral, green apple, bitter lemon-peel aroma, orange oil, riper palate with ripe citrus and chalk, fine mousse with a bit of spice and toastiness. Quite lovely for an entry-level bottling. QGV (SCJ)
