Bottle. The 22nd iteration of Grand Siècle. 18 months since disgorgement in December 2017. Dosage 7 g/l too. 55% 2004, 30% 2002, 15% 1999. 55% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir. 12 years on lees. Big and broad on the nose, with golden-plum fruit flavours. Looser textured on the palate and then drawn in like a drawstring purse on the end. Quite mature now in bottle. This gives a golden impression somehow and is definitely richer than the 24th iteration. [19/06/2019]

An unusual 100% 1er Cru Pinot Meunier, vintage Champagne with zero dosage. This is delightful with ripe fruit and notes of citrus sherbet on the nose. Dry and mineral on the palate with notes of... rich, white fleshed fruit, fabulous depth and concentration, fine with a long finish. This is a delicious, fascinating Champagne which will reward a few years ageing, as it broadens out with age. Drink 2024-2030+.
