Producer Profile
Domaine Louis Michel has been
a family-run estate for six generations, since being established in 1850. The
estate is currently managed by Jean-Loup Michel and Guillaume Gicqueau-Michel,
who continue the family’s winemaking traditions. The domain owns 25 hectares of
vineyards across various premier cru and grand cru sites in Chablis.
The estate practices
traditional winemaking methods and specialises in producing pure,
mineral-driven Chablis wines which showcase the region’s unique characteristics.
It produces grand cru cuvées from some of Chablis’s finest parcels such as Les
Clos, Grenouilles, Vaudésir, and Le Preuses. These wines represent the pinnacle
of quality and are highly sought after by Chablis enthusiasts.
The domain produces around 140,000
bottles per year.
