An ultra-fresh nose features notes of both red and dark currant that enjoy pretty top notes of violet and rose petal plus a touch of earth. There is excellent precision to the super-sleek and precise middle weight flavors that terminate in a balanced finale that is less rustic than usual and with only a touch of rusticity. This offers especially good quality for its level and is recommended..
The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune Aux Fournaux, is a blend of one plot 2.10ha that includes both Premier and Village Cru (it was previously bottled separately.) Juicy red fruit on the nose with touches of orange blossom, this just needs a little more delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly powdery tannins, quite austere for the vintage but with decent length.
