Monopole. TA (sulphuric) 3.9 g/l, TA (tartaric) 5.97 g/l, pH 3.35. 50% whole bunch. 17 months’ oak ageing, 35% new. Cask sample. Restrained, dark redcurrant and cherry on the palate. Plenty of purity and finesse for Corton. Freshness in the mouth combined with spicy oak, bright acidity and a lingering, savoury finish. Not a blockbuster but certainly classy. (AWH)
