Robert Groffier is a respected
domain based in Burgundy. Robert Groffier was the owner and winemaker here until
his death in 2016 and today his son, Nicolas Groffier, continues the winemaking
tradition and manages the domain.
The domain owns 8 hectares of
vineyards in renowned appellations such as Chambolle-Musigny,
Morey-Saint-Denis, and Gevrey-Chambertin, known for their complex and
expressive terroirs. The vineyards are farmed sustainably, the grapes are
handpicked and selected twice over to ensure the quality of the final product.
Domaine Groffier is primarily known
for its red wines, especially those made from Pinot Noir. Some of their notable
wines include Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru ‘Clos de la Roche’,
Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru ‘Les Amoureuses’, and Chambolle-Musigny Premier
Cru ‘Les Sentiers’.
