The 2019 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru has a well-defined and open-knit nose with vivacious red cherry and wild strawberry fruit, expressing more terroir than one or two of its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and crisp acidity. This is a carefree and joyous Bonnes-Mares that is zesty in style, yet there is impressive balance and depth. Don’t underestimate it. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
