The 2019 Rocheyron is certainly a solid wine, but my expectations are a bit more than that for this wine from Silvio Denz and Peter Sisseck. Ripe dark fruit, chocolate and sweet spice are nicely pushed forward, but there’s not much depth nor complexity.

The 2019 Rocheyron is sensual and expressive, wafting from the glass with aromas of raspberries, pencil shavings, potpourri and sweet soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, broad and enveloping, with tangy acids, powdery tannins and a supple, seamless profile, it concludes with a mouthwateringly saline finish. This collaboration between Peter Sisseck and Silvio Denz has turned out brilliantly.
