Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 90
Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Clos St. Martin has a very ambitious nose of cedar chest, plum preserves and Christmas pudding with touches of pencil shavings and smoked meats. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is packed with dried berries flavors and lashings of new oak, framed by chewy tannins, finishing a little woody. The blend here is8 0% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc.
Anticipated maturity: 2020-2032

Tasted blind. Deep ruby colour. Plum skins and red cherry on the nose. Some mulling spices. Vibrant acidity on the palate, which shows blueberry and a hint of coffee. Bright but slightly washed out by acidity on the finish. (TP)
