Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 89
Notions of cassis, plums and sweet new oak introduce the 2017 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru, a medium to full-bodied, layered wine with a fleshy core of fruit framed by chewy tannin. It’s a creditable effort from Bichot in this vintage.
Vinous 91
The 2017 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru has a detailed, nicely focused bouquet of dark cherries, crushed strawberries and light floral notes. The rounded, velvety-smooth palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and a polished, orange-peel-tinged finish that lingers nicely in the mouth. Fine, but not extraordinary.
