The 2016 du Tertre has a nose of fragrant fruit, more red than black, featuring raspberry and wild strawberry mixed with graphite and light cedar aromas. The harmonious, focused palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin and good mineralité. This might not have as much substance as its Margaux peers, but it feels very sustained in the mouth. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 du Tertre features cassis, red plums and spice box on the nose with herbs and earth nuances. The palate is medium-bodied, lean and soft with an earthy finish. [30/11/2018]
