Tasting Notes
Vinous 93
De Vogüé’s 2009 Chambolle-Musigny was even better, as the vintage is so well suited to near-term drinking, especially at the village level. Totally seductive and engaging, the 2009 Chambolle was a thrill a minute to drink. There are times when wine is all about pure, unrestrained pleasure. This was one of those moments. What a fabulous bottle!

The 2009 Chambolle-Musigny caresses the palate with layers of floral-infused red fruit. It is a supple, radiant Chambolle very much in the style of the vintage. I would prefer to drink it over the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2021. A similar but slightly riper nose includes blue berry and plum nuances that precede the more obviously mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors that brim with dry extract on the extremely pure and utterly delicious finish that is shaped by the buried tannins and given energy by the perfectly integrated acid spine. This is a seriously lovely effort.
