Tasting Notes

A deft touch of wood frames a restrained and pure nose of hoisin, clove and cinnamon, rose petal and cassis that gives way to velvety, round and utterly seductive large-scaled flavors brimming with dry extract on the mouth coating and quite serious finish that displays seriously good length. The Echézeaux is a fine effort but this adds yet another step up in quality.

Peppery, fresh and inviting. Dry and less generous on the palate than the Mazis-Chambertin but firm, upright and serious. Scented mid palate but otherwise rather held back. Tannins are tight but not in the least unyielding. (JH)
