Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 91
This has a wonderful nose of ripe redcurrants, strawberry and minerals with a touch of oyster shell that comes through on the palate. Very well defined on the crisp entry, slightly leafy with lovely balance. Very natural and understated with vibrant acidity, crisp and very focused on the finish. Surprisingly primal, more so than the 1989, so I would anticipate this improving further over the next few years. A Richebourg with a certain coolness and stoicism about it. Drinking 2012-2025. Tasted November 2006.
Anticipated maturity: 2012-2025

Luxuriantly powerful fruit of spice, jam and violets with obvious pinot extract lead to amazingly powerful yet velvety flavors. There are ample tannins but the extract more than buffers them. Huge, rich and long from beginning to end, this is still very much of a baby. In fact, there is so much extract and this is so youthful that this should continue to evolve for some years to come.
Anticipated maturity: 2007-2012
