Château Angélus, ranked Premier Grand Cru Classé A since 2012, is a prestigious estate in the estates in St-Émilion in Gironde on the Right Bank of the Bordeaux wine region. The famous St-Émilion steeple is less than 1 kilometre away from Angélus’s splendid southerly-exposed vineyards. The name Angélus comes from the three Angélus bells that can be heard from the local chapel at Mazerat.

A rich history of winemaking going back to 1782, this Chateau is run by 8th generation Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal after taking over from her father Hubert de Boüard and uncle Jean-Bernard Grenié in 2012 and is under the consultancy of Michel Rolland.

Angélus predominantly produces wine using Cabernet Franc in their sandier and warmer soil and Merlot in their limestone-rich clay soils.

Under their new style we love the refined and pure direction of winemaking allowing its great terroir to truly flourish.
