Henri Boillot is one of Burgundy‘s most respected names, renowned for producing wines of remarkable precision, purity and longevity from some of the Côte de Beaune‘s finest vineyards. Based in Meursault, the domaine was established in 1885, but it was under Henri Boillot‘s leadership from the 1970s onwards that it rose to international acclaim. Today, the estate continues under the guidance of his son, Guillaume Boillot, preserving the family’s meticulous approach while looking confidently to the future.
The domaine farms an enviable portfolio of Premier and Grand Cru vineyards across Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Volnay and Pommard. Vineyard work is centred on low yields, careful canopy management and sustainable practices, ensuring each site expresses its own distinct identity. In the winery, intervention is deliberately restrained. Fermentations take place in French oak barrels, with new oak used judiciously to complement rather than dominate the fruit, resulting in wines that balance richness with energy and remarkable mineral precision.
Henri Boillot‘s white Burgundies are celebrated for their crystalline purity, combining citrus, orchard fruit and subtle oak with vibrant acidity and exceptional tension. The reds are equally compelling, offering perfumed red fruit, silky tannins and understated power. Across the range, the emphasis is always on terroir, producing wines that are elegant in youth yet reward careful cellaring for many years.
