Job Summary

We have an excellent opportunity for someone to join a dynamic, bespoke wine and spirit company in the heart of Brighton. My client is looking for a motivated, organised and confident person to assist our Sales team with the day-to-day operations. This candidate will be involved in all aspects of the running of the business and so must have great decision-making skills, the ability to build strong relationships and work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

To assist the sales team with the following roles:

·         Ensure successful order completion of each customer request. Monitoring the progress of the entire operation

·         Responsible for all logistics including:

o    Stock management and control

o    Identify and handle miss-picks & stock discrepancies efficiently

o    Producing inventories of customer stock

o    Liaising with suppliers, specialised transporters and bonded warehouse

·         Maintain the condition of the office & equipment

·         Ensure office is compliant in relation to health & safety legislation

·         Support the external accounts team with primary responsibility for: Bank reconciliations, payment runs, banking, cashflow and balance sheet management

·         General HR procedures including sickness, holiday, HR administration

·         Looks to drive continuous improvements.

Key Skills:

·         Previous experience in a logistics role is essential

·         Superb communication skills: both verbal and written with a good telephone manner

·         Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively

·         Excellent attention to detail

·         Quick to pick up on systems

·         Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

·         Confident team player

·         Full computer literacy – Proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft Office required, knowledge of Xero accountancy system a bonus

·        This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate to move into industry, experience with the wine & spirits world is useful but not essential for the right individual
